I’m always looking for the next thing to improve or automate. My career in technology has been a series of combining two questions: “how can this be done better?” and “can it be automated?”
I started out as junior helpdesk kid, grew into some sysadmin responsibilities, automated as many sysadmin tasks as possible, and eventually found myself in a devops role. These days, I’m experimenting with tools designed for efficiency and automation – Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and Chef.
I’ve learned quite a few uses for these tools that can have a huge payoff with little or no training, and/or minimal effort. This website is my way of trying to share some of those quick solutions and provide some training on the tools involved.
